Qualifications: Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education

What makes you passionate about Early Childhood Education? I enjoy engaging and assisting children to reach their goals while exploring their own world and environment around them. Every child is unique and learns at their own pace and this is wonderful to be around and be apart of as children reach their milestones at an early age. I love having families involved with their children’s learning as they are the child’s first teacher in life.

Fun fact about you? I have been living in Wyndham for 40 plus years and am a passionate Western Bulldogs supporter.

What makes you passionate about Early Childhood Education? One of the biggest things that makes me passionate about being an early childhood educator is seeing the development of the children as they grow and reach the developmental milestones, seeing the pride on their faces makes me extremely happy. Over the years I have developed so many different bonds and relationships with the families, getting to know them and their cultural backgrounds makes the workplace feel like a community and helps to further those relationships. Another reason I enjoy being in early childhood education and care is watching the passion and drive within educators and supporting them as well as receiving support from my fellow educators to further develop my career and knowledge. Setting up learning experiences for the children to support their interests and goals is another reason I enjoy being in early childhood as is supports their development and their confidence shines through.
